Barcelona – Sevilla

Barcelona faces Sevilla at the Camp Nou on Sunday in a terrific derby from the 5th round of La Liga. These two teams will go against each other for real. Let’s preview it.

Barcelona are living the life under Ronald Koeman in the first few rounds of La Liga. Barca scored two wins in their first two games for the season, scoring seven goals and not conceding once. This is something which gives Los Cules some real confidence after the difficult 2019/20 season.

On Thursday Barcelona had a tough visit to Celta in Vigo, but they were masterfully effective and celebrated a 3-0 win. Ansu Fati opened the score for the Catalans while Celta’s Olaza scored himself an own goal after a great individual action by Messi. In the 95th minute Sergi Roberto scored the third goal for Barcelona.

Ronald Koeman’s problems are linked to Clement Lenglet’s red card against Celta. The French centre-back will be suspended for the derby against Sevilla. Ronald Araujo should replace him in the starting eleven.

Just like Barcelona, Sevilla also started their La Liga season with two wins from two matches played. On Thursday Los Rojiblancos had a game in the league as well. Julen Lopetegui’s team hosted Levante and needed a late winner in the 92th minute to take the three points. It was the substitution Youssef En-Nesyri who scored the winner after an assist from Jesus Navas.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Samuel Umtiti and Junior Firpo remain injured for Barcelona. Like we said, Clement Lenglet is missing the game as well. Meanwhile Sevilla can’t use Carlos Fernandez and Sebastien Corchia who are injured.

Both Barcelona and Sevilla will be looking for a third consecutive win in La Liga when they face each other at the Camp Nou. It’s a wonderful Sunday spectacle for all fans of Spanish football.
