Genoa – Juventus
Juventus will try to move closer to another title when they visit Genoa at the Luigi Ferraris on Tuesday. This is a fixture from the 29th round of the Serie A. Let’s preview it in the next few paragraphs.
Juventus lost the Coppa Italia final against Napoli, but in the Serie A they are flawless since the restart of the league – two wins from two matches played. In these two games Maurizio Sarri scored six goals and kept two clean sheets. The manager can’t be unhappy with the way his players responded to the Coppa Italia dissapointment.
At this moment Juve are enjoying four points lead in front of the second Lazio, so the Bianconeri remain a strong favourite for the title. At the same day Lazio will pay a visit to Torino, so some things about the title race could get even more clearer.
In their last game Juventus were hosting Lecce and unsurprisingly they enjoyed a dominant 4-0 win. The champions scored all of the four goals after the break. Paulo Dybala, Cristiano Ronaldo, Gonzalo Higuain and Mathijs de Ligt put the ball in the net for the Old Lady.
Genoa are living on the edge at the moment. The Grifoni are currently 16th in the Serie A right now, but being just one point ahead of the 18th Lecce and the relegation zone. This is a critical situation for them – they need as many points as possible until the end of the campaign. Otherwise, they could find themselves in the Serie B for the next season.
In their last game Genoa made their 8th draw for the season. Davide Nicola’s team visited Brescia, but they only won a point against the 20th team in the standings.
Will Juventus beat Genoa away from home on Tuesday? We don’t have any doubts about that, to be honest. These two teams are on totally different levels at the moment.
