Juventus hosts Bologna

After returning at the top of the Serie A, the champion Juventus hosts Bologna in a game from the 8th round of the league. Let’s take a look at this fixture at the Allianz Stadium in Turin.

That’s right – Juve returned where they belong, because in the previous round they finally managed to overtake the leader Inter MIlan at the top. The two teams met at the Stadio San Siro, where the champions achieved a 2-1 win. Paulo Dybala opened the score for the Old Lady, but Lautaro Martinez equalised for Inter from a penalty kick. The winning goal for the Bianconeri was scored by Gonzalo Higuain, who put the ball in the net in the 80th minute after a crucial assist from Rodrigo Bentancur.

Because of this win, now Juve are leading the Serie A standings with 19 points, having one point advantage in front of the second Inter Milan. For the Nerazzurri this was a first defeat in the Serie A under the management of Antonio Conte.

Right now Juventus are in a run of five consecutive wins in all competitions. This is a good moment for the new manager Maurizio Sarri, who replaced Massimiliano Allegri in the summer.

Bologna are 11th in the league right now with 9 points won so far. The Rossoblu are enjoying a record of two wins, three draws and two defeats. They are without a win in the Calcio in their last four matches.

Last round Bologna hosted Lazio at home and won a point after a 2-2 draw. Ladislav Krejci and the veteran Rodrigo Palacio scored for the Rossoblu. Despite of his serious health problems, Bologna’s manager Sinisa Mihajlovic is doing a fine work with the team this season. Against Juventus Bologna will be without the Chilean warrior Gary Medel, who was sent off against Lazio.

Juventus are the clear favourite against Bologna. The Bianconeri are having a match in the Champions League few days later, but we think that they won’t underrestimate the clash on Saturday.
