Liverpool – Newcastle United

Liverpool welcomes Newcastle United with only one thing in mind – to win and record a fifth consecutive win in the Premier League, remaining on top. Jurgen Klopp’s boys are big favourites to take the win here, but let’s see what are the news before this game.

It’s not a secret that Liverpool’s main goal this season is going to be winning the league for a first time since 1990. Last season the Reds triumphed in the Champions League, but the fans are waiting for a Premier League success as well.

The European champions started the season in the best way possible, winning all of their four games so far. In their last fixture the Reds visited Burnley and defeated Sean Dyche’s team with 3-0. Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino scored for Liverpool, while Burnley’s Chris Wood put the ball in his own net.

We shall remind you that just few days later Liverpool will play their first Champions League game for the season as well. Klopp’s team will travel to the Stadio San Paolo to face Napoli. Don’t be surprised if the German manager decides to keep some of his players for the difficult game in Italy.

Meanwhile Newcastle United bounced back from the two defeats in the first two rounds, winning four points in their last two matches.

After surprisingly beating Tottenham Hotspur in London, Steve Bruce’s team won a point after a 1-1 draw at home against Watford. The visitors opened the score after just two minutes of playing, when Will Hughes put the ball behind Martin Dubravka’s net. The Swiss centre back Fabian Schar equalised for the Magpies few minutes before the halftime break.

We think that Liverpool will do well against Newcastle United on Saturday. Jurgen Klopp is aware that the title fight with Manchester City is going to be brutal again, so Liverpool will need every point they can win.
