Manchester City – Arsenal
If you want to see an exciting attacking football then you better watch the Premier League derby between Manchester City and Arsenal on Saturday. These two teams will face each other in a match from the 5th round of the competition.
Pep Guardiola will once again face his former right hand at City Mikel Arteta. At the end of the previous season Arteta shocked Guardiola when he knocked him out of the FA Cup. Now City’s head coach could answer to this and avenge his defeat.
Manchester City had some kind of a shaky start of the 2020/21 season in the Premier League. At this moment the Cityzens are 14th in the standings with just 4 points won so far. City are 8 points behind the leader Everton, but they also have a game less in their record.
Pep Guardiola’s biggest problem before the game is the fitness of his star player Kevin De Bruyine. The Premier League’s best player for the 19/20 season was hurt during his international commitment with Belgium. Most likely De Bruyne won’t play against Arsenal.
Arsenal are 4th in the Premier League with 9 points won from four matches played. The Gunners lost against the champion Liverpool, but they won all of the other three matches they played so far. Arsenal continue to improve under the management of Mikel Arteta and these are great news for the fans.
Before the break Arsenal met Sheffield United at the Emirates and took the win with goals from Bakayo Saka and Nicolas Pepe. It’d be interesting to see if Arteta is going to put Pepe in the starting eleven against City. The talented winger came in from the bench in the previous game and managed to score.
It’s difficult to predict how the game between Manchester City and Arsenal is going to end, but one thing is for sure – these teams are playing exciting attacking football.
