Milan – Brescia

Milan hosts Brescia in a game from the second round of the Italian Serie A. The Rossoneri are chasing their first points for the new season, while Brescia are in a high mood after their win in the first round.

Milan’s new manager Marco Giampaolo probably hoped for a better start of the new campaign. In the first round Milan visited Udinese at the Dacia Arena and suffered a 0-1 defeat. Rodrigo Becao scored the only goal in the game during the second half. Few minutes later Giampaolo put on the pitch the summer signing Rafael Leao, but the young Portuguese striker didn’t have the luck to score.

Don’t be surprised if Marco Giampaolo makes some changes in his line-up for the next match. He’s still trying to guess his perfect team, so some other players could get a chance to impress.

The newcomers Brescia on the other hand enjoyed the best possible debut in the league – a win. The Biancazzurri visited Cagliari and achieved a 1-0 win at the Sardegna Arena. Alfredo Donnarumma scored the only goal in the game from a penalty kick soon after the start of the second half. Brescia’s most exciting summer signing didn’t play in this game.

Brescia started the season with a win, but they are aware that it’s going to be a difficult campaign for them and surviving is the main priority. It’s good to kick off your season with three points, but there are many matches left until the end.

For Milan it’s absolutely crucial to start winning points as soon as possible. The Rossoneri’s goal this season is to qualify for the Champions League, so they can’t allow themselves to get behind their competitors. Milan will aim to beat Brescia at any cost, but let’s see if they can really do it.
