PSG – Guingamp

PSG faces Guingamp in a match from the 35th round of the French Ligue 1.

PSG already won the title, dominating the league with an ease. The Parisians have 20 points advantage in front of Monaco on the top, which proves how strong they have been this season. They were really without any competition for the first place.

PSG’s record is proving it – 29 wins, 3 draws and 2 losses. In its last five matches PSG won four times and made one draw, losing points only against Saint-Etienne.

In the previous round PSG enjoyed a difficult 1-0 win during the visit to Bordeaux. Now they will try to be more convincing against Guingamp at home.

It’s interesting news that PSG’s coach Unai Emery officially confirmed that he’s leaving the team after the end of the season. His faith was decided after the early exit from the Champions League against Real Madrid. Although Emery made PSG champions this season, he’s not wanted anymore by the club’s board. Most likely he’s going to get replaced by the German tactician Thomas Tuchel.

Guingamp on the other hand are 10th in the Ligue 1 with 45 points. They have a record of 12 wins, 9 draws and 13 defeats. In their last five games Guingamp won three times, made one draw and suffered just one defeat against Saint-Etienne.

Guingamp are playing like a typical midtable team this season – they are not anything special, but they are also good enough to guarantee their safety and to stay away from relegation. This was their goal before the beginning of the season – to stay in the safe zone and to feel calm about the future.

This is our take on the Ligue 1 game between PSG and Guingamp. Whatever you have decided, good luck!
