Real Madrid faces Galatasaray
Real Madrid faces Galatasaray at the Santiago Bernabeu in a game from Group A of the Champions League. Los Blancos aim to record their second win in the group so far, which would allow them to make an important step towards the 1/8-finals.
Two weeks ago Zinedine ZIdane’s team visited Istanbul to face Galatasaray and this is where Real Madrid recorded their first win in the competition for the season. The German midfield maestro Toni Kroos scored the only goal in the game, beating Fernando Muslera with a perfect shot with the right foot. Before this Los Blancos had just one point won in this group, which was more than dissapointing.
Now the Spanish giants are 5 points behind the leader PSG and it’d be difficult to catch up with the French side, but securing the second place is a must. During the weekend the former European champions made a shaky performance in La Liga, being unable to beat Real Betis at home. The game at the Bernabeu ended with a 0-0 draw. Zinedine Zidane once again gave a starting place to the 18-years old Rodrygo, while bringing Vinicius and Luka Jovic after the halftime break didn’t help, too.
Galatasaray are at the bottom of the group with just one point won so far. The Turkish side has to start winning points, if they want to finish at least third in the standings and qualify for Europa League. Galatasaray’s only point so far was won during their draw with Club Brugge. It’s not really an impressive campaign for Fatih Terim’s boys so far.
Despite of being unconvincing against Real Betis during the weekend, we think that Real Madrid will step up against Galatasaray on Wednesday. Los Blancos are aware that the situation in this group for them could get complicated if they lose. We think that the Spanish giants will go full force against Cimbom.
