Tottenham Hotspur – Chelsea
Since his appointment as a manager of Tottenham Jose Mourinho has a pretty solid record of four wins from five games played. Except of his defeat against Manchester United, Spurs have been pretty perfect under the management of the legendary Portuguese. Tottenham also scored 14 goals in these five games under Mourinho, which comes to tell us that he’s not relying on a defensive approach since his arrival at the club.
Right now Tottenham are 5th in the Premier League standings with 26 points, just 3 points behind Chelsea and the Top 4. For Spurs this is a perfect opportunity to catch up with Chelsea. They will return to the Top 4 if they win on Sunday.
In the previous round Tottenham recorded their 7th win for the season. The Londoners had a tough visit to Wolverhampton Wanderers, but they won with 2-1 at the Molineux. Lucas Moura and Jan Verthongen scored for Spurs.
How we already said Chelsea are 4th in the league with 29 points won so far. The Blues are in crisis right now, because they suffered four losses in their last five games in the Premier League. This is a difficult moment for the manager Frank Lampard, because now he has to find a way to bring back the confidence to his players.
In their last game in the league Chelsea hosted AFC Bournemouth at the Stamford Bridge and suffered a dissapointing 0-1 loss at their own ground. Clearly the Blues are a club with some huge problems at the moment. Can Lampard find the key to fix this?
Because of their home advantage and Chelsea’s bad shape, Tottenham are favourites against the Blues on Sunday. Let’s see if they can do the job just like everyone expects from them to do it.
